What is Digivites TOP

Digivites create Invitations and Announcements using your favourite photo's.  We work one-on one with each of our customers to create the perfect greeting for any occasion.
Digivites is a family friendly company, focused on providing outstanding customer service and products.

How does it work? TOP

Browse through our many designs and choose your favourite design.  Fill out your order form and continue through our checkout. 
When ordering our printed invitations and announcements please make sure you select which option you would like.  All invitations and announcements will be printed onto 4x6 matt photo paper if a preference is not selected.
Once your order has been placed, please email your photo's to suzi@digivites.com

How do I send my photo's to you? TOP
Once your order has been placed you can email your photo's to suzi@digivites.com.  Please put your full name on your email to ensure your order and photo's are matched together.  If your images are large files we suggest you send them over seperate emails.

What are the invitations printed on? TOP
You can choose to have your invitations or announcements printed onto photo paper or cardstock.  Please see our printing and shipping page for further information.

How long does it take to receive my digital proof? TOP
Digivites are eager for you to have your proof as soon as possible and try to have a sample emailed to you within hours of your payment and photo's being received.  The sample process can take up to 48 hours during busy times.

What is a proof? TOP

A proof is a low resolution digital image of your design.  When you order a photo Invitation, photo birth announcement or greeting card from Digivites; we use the information provided by you to create your design.  We then email your sample card to you.  This ensures that there aren't any typographical errors.
If you would like to see any changes made to your proof, simply reply to the email with the changes and we will send you a revised proof within 1 business day.
Your order will not be processed until you give the final approval on the proof for printing.
Please look over your proof very carefully.  Once a proof is approved for print, you are responsible for the  printed order.  If any changes need to be made AFTER a proof has already been approved, there will be a re-print fee that is the customers responsibility.

How many changes can I make to the proof? TOP

Digivites strives to make our designs affordable to all and keep our prices low.  Most other companies prices range from $25.00 - $65.00 for a print yourself design.  To keep our prices low we will do up to 2 proofs free of charge on print your own designs.  After that there is a fee of $3.00 per proof after that.
You can make as many changes per proof as you would like.
If you change your mind on the size of the invitation (eg. 4x6 to 5x7 vice versa) after the design has been created there is an additional fee of $10.00 as the invitation or announcement will need to be re-done.
Printed orders over 40 can have unlimited changes to their designs.

How long does it take to receive my order? TOP

4x6 photo card orders require a 7 business day turnaround for printing and processing (upon approval on your design), 5x7 photo card prints require a 10 business day turnaround..  Cardstock orders require a 10 business day turnaround for printing and processing.  We then ship from our office via Australia post free of charge (within Australia).
We do suggest giving a time frame of 4 weeks prior to your event to allow for alterations to the design, printing and postage. 

Do you ship Internationally? TOP

Yes, we can ship your order to anywhere in the world.  International orders can take up to 21 days for delivery so plesae allow enough time.
International orders have a flat shipping fee of $12.00.

What format should my photograph be in? TOP

Before taking pictures, make sure your digital camera is on the highest setting possible.  Too often, we receive photo's that are too small and there is nothing that can be done to make small photo's larger without distorting the quality. 
We prefer your photograph as a jpeg file at 300dpi with no compression.  If you are scanning your photo's, we recommend scanning at 600dpi to be on the safe side.  If you haven't taken your photo's yet, please read our photo tips page for ideas on how to take that perfect photo.
We will not accept photo's that are stored on a website as these images are saved for web viewing and are not a good quality for print.

Can I use photo's that were taken professionally? TOP
You need to have the rights to professional photo's. By submitting your photo's to Digivites you warrant that images you are submitting to us are your own personal images, for which you hold the legal copyright, or you have permission from the copyright owner to use the images for your cards.  By submitting images, you automatically grant us the right to use these for the purposes of creating your cards/announcements.  You are also agreeing that you have full re-print rights to the images and indemnify Digivites against any claim regardign the unauthorised use of another person's images.

Digivites will not remove the photographers watermark unless written consent to do so is issued to Digivites in writing.

Should I edit my photo's before sending? TOP
We would prefer photo's to be emailed in it's original format.  We can touch-up, improve colour and lighting, crop yoru images and even change to black and white and sepia for you.

Can I see my images on different designs? TOP

Yes you can.  We can create samples for you at an additional cost of $10.00 per sample.  Changes will not be made on the samples.  Once you have decided on the design and paid for your order we will make any changes to your chosen designs.
Samples can be purchased through Extra's.

How many photo's do I send? TOP
You will see on each design the amount of photo's that can be used for that particular design.  Some designs can be altered to have more or less photo's.  We recommend contacting us at info@digivites.com before your purchase.

It has been 48 hours and I haven't received my proof? TOP

Please email us at info@digivites.com and let us know if you think your proof time has passed and you did not receive a proof.  Your photo's may not have been received or occasionally, the proof email we send our customers is marked as spam by your email provider.
If you have two email accounts, we recommend sending these with your photo's to avoid timely delays.

What methods of payment do you accept? TOP

We accept all major credit cards and e-checks through Paypal.  If you pay with an e-check your order will not be processed until your e-check clears (usually 4 business days).  We also accept bank deposits and money orders from Australian residents.
When paying via Bank deposit please put your surname in the payment description to make your order and payment easy to identify.

Do you share my personal information? TOP

Definately NOT!  We will never share your personal information with any other company, individual or organisation. 
You will always be asked for permission before your photo's are used on our website and all personal information is changed to protect your privacy and that of your family.

Under the following circumstances, we may share your personal information:

  • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
  • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to our company name and or to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Digivites Terms and conditions, or as otherwise required by law.
  • We transfer information about you if Digivites is acquired by, reorganized or merged with another company. In such an event, you will have the opportunity to ask not to receive promotional information following any such change of control.

Will my design print exactly as it is shown on my computer? TOP

Colours may vary from what you see on your screen to the finished product, due to (but not limited to) different monitor settings, ambient light, monitor brands, monitor resolutions, etc.  Printing on different mediums may also create a colour variation especially on a glossy finish.
There may also be some cropping on the design which happens in the printing process however the cropping will not effect the text on any of the designs. 

Can all designs be printed onto Photo cards or Cardstock? TOP

We can print your designs on either medium however we do have a range of Announcements and Invitations which are only available in the cardstock range.  These particular designs have been created to print as double sided announcements and invitations.

Will my design have the Digivites logo on it? TOP

When we print your design on photo paper we place a small sticker on the back of each print with our logo and url.  When we print your order on cardstock, we print our small logo in a coordinating colour on the back of your greeting card.  We care about the overall look of your announcement and make sure ou rlogo is not distracting from the design of your greeting.
Our print at home designs will have a www.digivites.com watermark on the final design. 

I can't decide which photo to use, can I send you extra's? TOP
Yes, you can send up to 2 extra photo's for the main images. 

Can I change a Birthday invitation into a christening invitation? TOP
Most of the designs are interchangeable.  Some of the designs have very limited room for text, so please take that into account when choosing your design for your special occasion.

Can you fix my photo? TOP

Yes we can.  We can make minor corrections including cropping, colour enhancement, blemish removal (on some photo's) and some colour tinting.  If your image is not correctable, we will let you know.

Photographers watermarks cannot be removed without written consent from the photographer directly to Digivites.
There are additional charges to remove backgrounds or alter backgrounds on photo's.

What is your return policy? TOP

Digivites will not print or release a design until we have your approval on the design.  This ensures that you receive exactly what you have asked for.
If Digivites have made an error with your order, please accept our sincere apologies and be assured that we will remedy the error as quickly as possible.  Once notified of our error, we will offer you a full refund, credit towards future purchase or complete exchange with the quickest shipping option possible. 
We ask that you return the order in it's original form and packaging within 7 days and we will issue a refund as soon as the shipment is received.
Digivites reserve the right to reject any returns and exchanges that do not meet our conditions and terms.

Do you have a cancellation policy? TOP

Yes.  It depends on what stage you are in when you cancel.  If we have not started on your order, then there is no charge.  If we have put together your proof, and your order is canceled there is a $20.00 fee. 
Any orders that have been canceled after final proof has been given and sent to print, Digivites will refund half of the balance paid unless an alternate arrangement has been made between Digivites and customer.
We reserve the right to cancel any orders if any member of our staff is abused, threatened, sworn at or harrassed in any way.  We will always treat our customers with the full respect they deserve and expect the same in return.  No refunds will be given under these circustances.

Do you have a minimum order? TOP

Yes we do.  There is a minimum of 20 printed photo cards and a minimum of 25 printed cardstock cards.
We understand that sometimes you do need 20 invitations and offer a print at home design.  You will receive a high resolution file from which you can arrange printing.

Can I re-order announcements and invitations later. TOP
Certainly.  We can organise to re-print your design for you.  There is a shipping fee of $4.30 for re-prints that are under our minimum quantity.

What is a print at home design? TOP

Digivites will design your invitation for you and email a proof to you.  Once we have your final approval a high resolution jpeg file will be emailed to you.
Print at home designs come as is.  If you would like colour changes to the design, there is an additional $5.00 per proof.
This is where the cost benefits become apparent!  Because you can get the printing done yourself, you can print as few or as many has you need and there is no minimum order.
You can save your invitation/announcement to a usb stick or cd and have your local photo lab print your designs.  You can also print them at home on your printer.
All print yourself designs come with the Digivites website printed on the front of the card.

Can I change the colour, font, size? TOP

Yes!  When placing your order you can state on your order form any changes you would like to make to the design.  Patterned backgrounds cannot always be changed to your colour theme and a replacement background maybe used.

How much does it cost to mail my invitations and announcements? TOP
All orders are delivered within Australia free of charge.  International orders are sent via air mail and have a flat fee of $12.00 per order.  Please allow up to 21 days for international orders.

Do you offer postage insurance? TOP

Yes we do under our extra's category.
We high recommend you purchase shipping insurance!  For only $4.00 your shipment is insured against damage or theft.  Once a package has left our hands, we are not responsible for it or in control of what happens enroute to you and do not offer refunds or replacements on items missing in post.

What images can you not accept? TOP

For birth announcements, you warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child or children portrayed int he images you are submitting.  We cannot accept images of children/babies in which full or partial nudity exposes any part of the genital area.
We will not accept pornographic photo's or images to use on any of the designs.

I have seen a design on another site that I like, can you do this for me? TOP
No.  Please do not ask us to copy another designers cards.  You can email us a copy of the image which will give us an idea on what you like however we do suggest if you see a design you love elsewhere, then purchase through them.

Can I change the design, if I change my mind once I have seen the sample? TOP
We can only work on one design at a time.  If you change your mind after seeing the sample and would like another design created you will need to purchase that design.

How long do you keep my invitations on file? TOP

Your sample is kept on file for a maximum of 30 days.  If we have not heard back from you after your proof is emailed we will contact you.  If we still have not received a response within 30 days your invitations will be filed.
Once designs are filed there is a $10.00 fee to re-open that file.
If you have approved your design and need to make changes after that it will be necessary to re-purchase that design after 30 days.

Copyright exists on all designs featured at www.digivites.com and cannot be duplicated, sold, reproducted or altered without prior written permission from Digivites.
Digivites remains the owner of all designs created by Digivites.

Re-Print rights TOP
You are given permission to print your print at home designs however the design belongs in full to Digivites.  A small watermark appears on all print at home designs.

Can I order Envelopes and Magnets? TOP

Envelopes and Magnets are only available with the printed invitations and need to be ordered at the time you place your order.
Envelopes will come in white, however maybe if envelopes are unavailable we may substitute with another colour.

I don't see a design that is suitable can you create something for me? TOP

Of course.  If you have a particular idea in mind and don't see a design that jumps out at you, we can create a custom design for you using your idea's and theme.
Custom designs can be purchased through our custom category.
Digivites remain the owner of the design.

Custom Orders TOP

All of our designs began with a parent's vision, and we're committed to creating a birth announcement that is just perfect for you!  We create your design based on your preferences, or just like our gallery samples.  Birth Announcement colors, fonts, text and even layout can be changed to your liking!  We provide one proof  with up to 5 changes to the design free of charge.


Can you personalise my invitations TOP

Yes we can.  Photo cards have a flat fee of $15.00 to personalise each guest name onto the invitation and cardstock has a flat fee of $70.00.
The names need to be provided onto an Excel spreadsheet and will be copied onto the invitation direct from this.  Please make sure that names are on Excel exactly as you would like them to appear as we do not take any responsibility on errors.

What are your terms and conditions? TOP

All of the information you need has been listed in our FAQ's page and are also our terms and conditions.
By purchasing through Digivites you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and state that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions.

What are your business hours? TOP

Digivites are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to accept your orders.
Our trading hours are Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm .  We do not work on public holidays.
We vary rarely close for orders however if this is the case a notice will be put on our website at least 3 weeks before to allow enough time to have orders processed.

Print Yourself Designs TOP

For urgent orders we do have a print yourself design.
All you need to do is go through the hundreds of designs we have available and choose your favourite.  Go to the print yourself design category, fill out the order form and follow the checkout instructions.  Once your order has been placed your can email your photos to suzi@digivites.com.
We will put together your announcement or invitation and then email a sample.  Once approved you will receive a high resolution jpeg file, which you can take to your local photo lab for printing.  Files are only available as jpeg images.
Designs where the background has been removed from the photo's are not available as a print yourself design.
Our print yourself designs come as is.  We will add your photos and text however no changes to the layout or colour theme of the design are available.
You can make as many changes to each proof up to 2 proofs.  Thereafter there is a fee of $3.00 per proof.
